STRENGTHEN OUR COMMUNICATION IN OPPOSITION – NPP CONCERNED YOUTH TELLS NORTHERN REGIONAL EXECUTIVES

The President of the Northern NPP Concerned Youth Group, Abdulai Abdul Jalil Opele, has called on the leadership of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Northern Region to strengthen the party’s communication strategy as it navigates its period in opposition.
In an open letter dated 22nd August, 2026 and addressed to the Regional Chairman, Regional Executives, Constituency Executives and the entire membership of the party in the Northern Region, Mr. Opele said effective communication is the most powerful tool for rebuilding the party.
He outlined three key suggestions to help reposition the party.
First, he called for a strong and coordinated communication front, urging the party to activate all its communication channels from social media to traditional media – radio and television – to effectively respond to political opponents. According to him, no comment from opponents should be left unanswered.
Secondly, Mr. Opele appealed to the Communication Team and the Northern Regional Communication Director to ensure fairness and inclusiveness. He urged them to give opportunity to all party members who have knowledge and passion for communication, regardless of their affiliation, and to put an end to favouritism and cabalism within the communication structure.
Finally, he appealed to the leadership not to forget the party’s Serial Callers – the dedicated group of loyal members who call into radio and TV programmes to defend the party.
Mr. Opele said these serial callers play a very crucial role, especially now that the party is in opposition, and must be recognized, motivated and given opportunities to serve.
He concluded with a call for unity, urging all party members to put their differences aside and work together as one family for the victory of the NPP.
Long Live the NPP!
Long Live the Northern Region!
Long Live Ghana!
