Mahama’s Second Tenure: Priorit young Ghanaian journalist, Sarkodie Samuel,who works with Kumasi based OTEC FM has urged president-elect John Dramani Mahama to prioritize the completion of uncompleted projects across the country as he prepares to assume office come January 7,2025, emphasizing that four years will not be enough for new projects despite his remarkable performance during his first term as president.
The journalist’s call underscores the National Democratic Congress (NDC’s) chances of maintaining power for a longer period of time, especially completing all projects that were undertaken by his government during his first term and that of the outgoing Nana Addo led New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region.
He stressed that the second coming of president Mahama should prioritize the phase two of the Kejetia market,the Krofrom market,the Afari military hospital,the Sawua government hospital among many other projects that were started by his government during his first term across the country but were abandoned by the NPP government including the ones that were undertaken by the Nana Addo led NPP government.
“Prove to the Nana Addo led New Patriotic Party the quality leader you are by putting Ghana first above every other thing and I believe you will win the hearts of most Ghanaians for the NDC in our subsequent elections”,the journalist stated.
“By prioritizing the completion of uncompleted projects, Mahama’s Second term will release lots of pressure from the people of Ghana and bring significant improvements in the lives of Ghanaians”,he added.
Sarkodie Samuel further highlighted on the completion of ongoing infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, and public buildings,also completing projects aimed at improving access to quality education and holding high esteem his campaign promises on reviewing and maintaining the Free Senior High School policy.
The Kumasi based OTEC FM’s reporter further indicated that his Excellency John Dramani Mahama should also put in place initiative to improve the National Health Insurance Scheme policy to enhance the quality healthcare of Ghanaians.
On the other hand,the young journalist emphasized that president Mahama should implement initiatives to empower local businesses and promote entrepreneurship to release pressure from the few government jobs in the country.
The young journalist’s call to action serves as a reminder of the importance of completing ongoing projects to drive meaningful change and improvement in the standard of living of Ghanaians as president Mahama prepares to assume office come January 7,2025.
