HUNDREDS MOB COKA AHEAD OF NPP ASHANTI CHAIRMANSHIP VETTING IN KUMASI

The Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman hopeful, Chairman Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as COKA, embarked on masive float to the venue of the ongiong vetting of candidates contesting for the various Ashanti regional positions of the NPP.

The float happened today and was characterised by massive turnout of over hundred supporters of COKA who joined him as he walked jubilantly from kwadaso to vetting center at Hasta Hotel.

The crowd, many carrying placards and chanting party songs, described the walk as a show of grassroots endorsement for his chairmanship bid.

Some placards read: “Under my leadership, no one will be left behind. All hands on deck, Asanteman COKA beye” and “The structures will work.” Others bore inscriptions such as “COKA, I Care! Asanteman COKA” and “I will unite the party in the Asante region.”

Speaking briefly to the crowd, COKA thanked them for their support and pledged to run an inclusive administration that would strengthen party structures from the polling station to the regional level.

The vetting at Hasta Lodge marks the conclusion of the NPP Ashanti Region’s process to select candidates for the upcoming regional executive elections on August 15–16, 2026.
