Ayawaso East MP, Mahama Naser Toure, Leaves Lasting Impact on Constituency

The Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East, Mahama Naser Toure, has passed away at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital after a period of illness.

Mahama Naser Toure was a dedicated Ghanaian politician who served as the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East Constituency.

He was a member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and held several key roles, including Vice Chairman of the Energy Committee, and membership on the Roads and Transport Committee, House Committee, and Private Members’ Bills and Motions Committee.

Some of his notable achievements include:
– *Education and Qualifications*: Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Central University College, Diploma in Governance from GIMPA, and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Doshisha University
– *Career*: Managing Director of Aminasei Oil Company (1993-2011), OTA Forex Bureau (2001-2003), and Member of Parliament (2013-2026)
– *Constituency Work*: Implemented projects such as pavement blocks, road construction, and bridges in Nima, Accra
– *Re-election*: Won the 2024 general election with 22,139 votes (70.85%)

According to the Second Deputy Majority Whip, Richard Acheampong, Toure is expected to be laid to rest today in accordance with Muslim tradition at his residence in Nima, Accra.
