“Bawumia Announces Free Kidney Dialysis for All NHIS Patients Starting December 1,2024”
The Vice president and the presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Dr Mahamadu says Kidney patients who are on dialysis machines will be enrolled by on National Health Insurance Scheme from December 1, 2024.
Dr Bawumia remarked that the government started a pilot program where the aged and children kidney dialysis patients were enrolled on NHIS for free medication in the last 6 months.
According to him the pilot project is over and the government will fully enroll all kidney dialysis patients on the NHIS in first week of December.
The vice president made this known at Tafo palace when addressing stakeholders as part of his tour in Tafo Pankrono constituency.
Dr Bawumia mentioned some of the health interventions this government has implemented to improve the health sector.
