STANBIC BANK DEEPENS MEDIA PARTNERSHIP WITH FINANCIAL LITERACY TRAINING, TECH SUPPORT IN KUMASI

Stanbic Bank Ghana has reinforced its commitment to the media through a Financial Wellness Workshop for Ashanti Region journalists, coupled with a donation of five laptops.
The Kumasi session equipped reporters from across media platforms with practical skills in personal financial management, investment, retirement planning, debt control, and digital banking tools.
Bank officials explained that the dual approach — knowledge plus equipment — is designed to improve the quality of financial journalism and promote economic literacy among the public.
Participants said the training addressed real newsroom and personal finance challenges, while the laptops would directly improve daily reporting efficiency.
The initiative falls under Stanbic’s ongoing stakeholder engagement and CSI strategy, which has delivered similar financial literacy interventions to SMEs, students, and professional bodies nationwide.
Stanbic reaffirmed plans to expand financial wellness education across Ghana, with the media as a key partner.
