Kumasi Central Market Petty Traders Donates GHs 3,000 Food Items To Manhyia Local Prisons
The Kumasi Central Market Petty Traders Association, has made a donation worth GHC3,000 ( 30 million old cedis) to the Manhyia Local Prisons, Kumasi which forms part of their 3 years anniversary celebration as association.
The items included packs of sachet water, pack of toilet rolls, soaps and other items as part of their contribution to ensure the well being of the prison inmates.
Speaking to media, Madam Sarah Osei Bonsu, the leader of the association said, this step was taking as part of their 3 years anniversary activities.
She took the opportunity to plead with authorities spearheading the construction of Kajetia phase 2, that the project is halt for a while, meanwhile the traders are stranded on the streets so measures has to put in place for it completion.
The Manhyia Local Prisons Chaplain, Rev. DSP Elijah Amo Mensah who received the items expressed their appreciation over the gesture, and however make it known the challenges confronting the center.
