The respected party figure made the announcement in an encounter or engagement with some Media practitioners here in Kumasi ,on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, just three days ahead of the NPP’s crucial Presidential Primaries,a period he described as pivotal to the party’s future.
Speaking passionately, Dr. Dwamena urged delegates and party faithful to place unity above personal ambition, stressing that decisions taken during the primaries must be guided by a singular objective: building a united front capable of winning back power in the 2028 general elections.
According to him, the NPP’s next presidential candidate must not only possess competence and vision but, more importantly, demonstrate the ability to unify all factions of the party, heal internal divisions, and restore confidence among the grassroots and the broader Ghanaian electorate.
“Discipline, cohesion, and collective responsibility are non-negotiable if the NPP wants to remain a strong national force,” Dr. Dwamena emphasized.
