Mampontenghene is confident, Dr Bawumia will win election 2024 to complete the town abandoned market
Mampontenghene Barima Saase II has expressed his confidence that, Vice president and flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party Dr Mahamadu Bawumia will be the next president of Ghana to complete abandoned marketplace at Mampongteng.
According to the chief the market started time immemorial, (200 years ago) but has not seen any facelift from the successive government and want Dr flagbearer to complete the market should he become the president of the nation.
Barima Saase II made this appeal when the Vice President pay courtesy call on him at his palace at Mampongteng.
Barima Saase II was confident that, Vice president Bawumia will win the upcoming general election hence, he must see to it that his request will be fulfilled.
He further enumerated some of the roads in the area he want the government to pay attention to, due to the massive votes for NPP in the area.
He used the opportunity and praised Hon Kennedy Agyapong for assisting the township with street bulbs.
Dr Bawumia as part of his tour in the constituency visited Kenyase and had engagement with the chiefs and residents.
He also inspected ongoing roads in the area and agenda 111 project in Saaman as part of his visit.
Dr Mahamadu Bawumia in his response underlined that, he will make sure the market will be completed when he becomes president.
He promised the youth in the area with astro turf which according to him will start soon.
