Sand Winners Wreak Havoc on Kumawu Roads:MP Sounds Alarm

The Kumawu constituency is facing a critical issue that demands immediate attention. Sand winners’ trucks are causing widespread damage to roads, posing a significant risk to commuters’ safety and convenience.
During the rainy season, these trucks transport sand from rivers and streams, leaving behind muddy water that erodes the road surface. This results in potholes, deep cracks, and impassable roads. Heavy trucks and inadequate drainage systems exacerbate the problem, allowing muddy water to accumulate and further damage the roads.
To address this pressing issue, Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim, Member of Parliament for Kumawu, is calling on the Sekyere Kumawu District Assembly (SKDA), chiefs, landowners, and all stakeholders to collaborate and adhere to best safety practices to protect the roads from destruction. Specifically, he urges the enforcement of regulations restricting sand-laden trucks during the rainy season.
Immediate action is necessary to mitigate the damage and ensure the safety and convenience of the Kumawu Constituency.
