Attorney General commissions ORC office complex in Kumasi, assures govt support to digitalized ORC soon to prevent corruption

The Attorney General and Minister of Justice Lawyer Godfred Yeboah Dame, has commissioned Office of the Registrar office complex in Kumasi.
The construction of the building was funded with internal generated funds of both the Registrar General’s Department and the office of the Registrar of companies at cost of GHS 8 million.
The office complex contain 34 rooms for office, 2 confrence room, a pantry a canteen, 21 wash room, reception security office and car park to serve people of Ashanti as well as some parts of the Western, Oti and Eastern regions.
Speaking at the launch of the edifice, Attorney General Lawyer Godfred Yeboah Dame urged the management of the ORC to take full comprehensive of digitalization to facilitate their activities and prevent corruption.
He recognized the lack of funds the ORC is facing to be digitalized, hence, he said, the government with World Bank assistance is procuring a digital software for the ORC for their operation.
He asked them to be inspired of the beauty of the office and give them their best of service to help the nation and assured them government support to get the Office of the registrar in all regions.
The Ashanti Regional head of the Office of the Registrar Nana Ama Akyiaa for her side stated that the building of the new office complex has many advantages to offer. According to her, the relocation of the office from Dadiesoaba to the center of the Central Business District of the metropolis has also led to an increase in patronage due to easy accessibility.
Nana Ama Akyiaa Prempeh after explaining steps to follow to make registration and renewals of business warned the public against fraudsters who use dubious means to defraud innocent Ghanaians.
