Tafo Municipal Chief Executive Urges BECE Candidates to Uphold Integrity
The 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) is currently underway in the Tafo Municipal, with 2,029 candidates sitting for the exams at nine designated centers. The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Abubakar Sadiq, has taken the opportunity to tour the examination centers and interact with the candidates.
During his tour, Hon. Sadiq urged the candidates to refrain from examination malpractice and instead, focus on showcasing their knowledge and skills. He emphasized the importance of honesty and integrity, not just during the examination process, but also in life in general. The MCE encouraged the candidates to remain calm, give their best effort, and trust in the knowledge they have acquired.
The Tafo Municipal Director of Education, Mrs. Betty Drah, praised the candidates for their calmness and discipline, noting that this year’s examination season has been marked by a deep respect for the rules and regulations set by the Ghana Education Service (GES). She warned candidates against relying on leaked answers, or “apor,” and stressed that the GES will not tolerate any form of examination malpractice.
The 2025 BECE, which started on June 11, 2025, will run until June 18, 2025. A total of 2,029 candidates, comprising 1,000 males and 1,029 females, are sitting for the exams, with only 3 absentees reported.
The Tafo Municipal Directorate of Education’s observation of calmness and discipline among candidates is a positive note for this year’s examination season.
