Education Minister allays fear of college of education graduates on next licensure exams

The Education Minister Hon Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum has allayed fears of the latest Teacher Training College of Education graduates who are yet to write the licensure exams in September this year.

Dr Osei Yaw Adutwum remarked that is a new software that automatically directs College of Education graduates to have access to licensure past questions to equip the yet-to-be-qualified professional teachers to pass their licensure exams.

The statistics of graduates who sat for the licensure exams last year saw abysmal failure which heightened a mixed reaction from Ghanaians.

Addressing the 14th congregation of the graduation ceremony at Offinso College of Education, the Education Minister emphasized that if the students are giving much attention to their studies and the licensure past questions he is confident that the next batch of candidates who will sit for the exams will come out with flying colors.

He used the opportunity and implored all continuous students to take their lessons and studies seriously to be qualified in the teaching field.

59 graduates had a first class which makes the Offinso College of Education tops all the 46 colleges in the country.

The principal of the School very Rev Dr. Joseph Nkyi Asamoah significant performance of the graduates and to selfless teaching the teachers are giving on the campus and modern library and other measures they have put in place.

During the 14th congregation, a lot of refurbished infrastructure projects were inaugurated by the Education Minister and presiding Bishop of the Methodist church as well as the school principal.

The principal of the School very Rev Dr Joseph Nkyi Asamoah used the opportunity to appeal to government to help them with school dormitories as the population of the school is increasing.
