Old- Tafo MP presents 5,000 mathematical sets to BECE candidate

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Old-Tafo , Lawyer Vincent Ekow Asafuah, has supplied 5,000 pieces of Mathematical sets to this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in his constituency.

The donation formed part of measures to equip the candidates with Teaching and Learning Resources and to motivate and encourage them to successfully write their final examinations.

This year’s BECE is expected to commence from Wednesday June 11 to Tuesday June 17 across the country.

Speaking to the media after the presentation, the Old-Tafo Member of Parliament Lawyer Vincent Ekow Asafuah, said the gesture had been an annual activity by the MP to schools and candidates in the municipality.

He said his vision was to support children to become responsible in his constituency and Ghana at large.

My contribution to the promotion of education in the area and students welfare is very commendable,” he added.

Meanwhile the Old -Tafo Municipal Director of Education Betty Dwira advised the students to learn hard and prepare towards exams.

She therefore urged the students to avoid examinations malpractice during the days of the final exams.
