The Head, Department of Fashion Design and Textiles Education Dr. Daniel Kwabena Danso has called on private investors to help create employment.

The head of Department of the Fashion Design and Textiles at Akenten Appiah- Minka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneur Development ,Dr. Daniel Kwabena Danso has called on international organizations to invest in the Vocational and Technical education to provide employment opportunities for the teeming unemployed youth and to ensure continued stabilization of the Ghana’s economy.

Dr. Danso emphasized that the presence of foreign companies to invest in Vocational and Technical education would help with production in large quantities.

He was of the view that it would create avenue for the students to have the room to understudy and get an indepth knowledge on the field of business. “I call for the involvement of foreign investors to help expand and enhance Vocational and Technical education to make a positive impact on the Ghanian economy especially the mechanical and auto department of the university to be enlightened through series of workshops in producing and assemble their own cars” He explained.

This was disclosed to newspointgh.com when the school Fashion, Wood Work, Construction, Catering, and the Auto Mechanics Departments respectfully were having their annual exhibition fair at Tanoso Campus of the university to showcase their products after four years intensive practical training.

Dr. Danso again said in spite of the current financial turbulence facing the country, there is a school of taught that citizens in the white colour jobs should go in for the Vocational and Technical education as an alternative to improve their financial status. ” I entreat those into white colour jobs to take time off their busy schedules to learn a trade which can bring additional values and returns in improving their lives” He advised.

Dr. Danso told newspointgh.com that construction of workshops and hostels on the campus of Akenten Appiah -Minka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneur Development will wet the appetite for Vocational and Technical education. “It is the schools top most priority that business oriented minds helps it to establish an embroidery where machines will be provided for operational purposes and also an existence of a workshop to manufacture furnitures for the benefit of the country and abroad. I again pray that private investors partner with the school to build affordable hostels to accumulate students” He revealed.
