BECE Candidates advise to stay away from teenage pregnancy
BECE students at Apaah, Yonso, Kyekyewere, communities in Mampong Municipal of the Ashanti Region have been advised to stay away from teenage pregnancy to help them achieve their future career.
The students were also urged to refrain from unnecessary dating, wee smoking and other immoral activities and give their attention to their books to secure better future.
Alhaji Ahmed Boakye a native in the area who is also a philantropist made this advice when Yaa Kyere foundation organised a quiz competition for the BECE students in the area.
The quiz aimed at equiping the students to face the BECE examination with confidence to get better results to get admission to SHS.
Apaah presby JHS emerged as winners after the competition.
All the constestants received prizes such as mattresesses, books and cash to prepare them for SHS.
Speaking to Kessben media Asumadu Darkwa, parents should provide all the basic needs that their children want especially the girls ” Sanitary pad for the girls should be the parents priority in every month and the boys too should always married their books because the girls they chasing today will end up marrying another man” Alhaji Ahmed lament.
Headmistress for TI Alhamadiya Girls in Asante Asokore Hajia Aisha Nyantakyiwaa Boakye also advise the students that they should learn had to achieve their aims and ambitions in future.
Nana Owusu Nkwantabisa chief of Kyekyewere who made the presentation to the students appeal to the government that the community lack toilet facilities and they are building 18 rooms Teachers bungalow by themselves so they need upper hand from the government and philanthropist to come and support them to complete the project early, so that it will help motivate the teachers who will be post at their community in terms of accommodation.
