Atwima Nwabiagya North MP Donates Sewing Machines To Fashion Students
The Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya North, Hon. Frank Yeboah, has donated three industrial sewing machines to tertiary students pursuing fashion-related programs to support skills development and youth empowerment in the constituency.
The presentation took place during a colourful ceremony at Osei Tutu Senior High School in Akropong.
The beneficiaries are Ellen Frimpong and Calvin Asaber, both students of Kumasi Technical University, and Linda Opoku Afriyie of the Achiase General Fashion Academy at Asuofua.
Addressing the gathering, Hon. Yeboah said the donation forms part of his Agenda 10-10-10 initiative, which targets education, skills training and socio-economic development across the constituency.
He described the machines as an investment in the future of the students and urged them to use them purposefully.
“This is your future. Take good care of the machines and learn hard so that you can make something meaningful out of the opportunity you have been given,”he said.
The MP assured that this was only the first batch of support, adding that more machines and other interventions would follow. He stressed that equipping young people with practical skills is key to reducing unemployment and driving local economic growth.
The beneficiaries thanked Hon. Yeboah for the gesture, describing it as timely and valuable. They disclosed that the MP has also been supporting them with school fees, hostel and feeding expenses.
Traditional leaders who attended the event commended the MP for his commitment to education and youth development. They urged the students to take their training seriously and become role models in the fashion industry.
The ceremony was attended by chiefs, students, teachers, residents and members of the NPP constituency executive.
