DVLA Commissions Ultra-Modern Office at Bantama to Improve Service Delivery in Ashanti Region

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has officially commissioned a new ultra-modern office at Bantama in Kumasi to enhance service delivery and bring its operations closer to motorists in the Ashanti Region.

The commissioning ceremony, held today, marks a significant milestone in the Authority’s efforts to decentralize its services and reduce congestion at existing offices within the metropolis.

Speaking at the event, the Chief Executive Officer of DVLA Julius Neequaye Kotey emphasized that the establishment of the Bantama office forms part of a broader strategy to make DVLA services more accessible to drivers, vehicle owners, and transport operators.

According to him, the Authority is committed to ensuring convenience, efficiency, and transparency in its operations.

He noted that bringing DVLA services closer to the people will reduce long queues, cut down travel time for clients, and improve overall customer experience.

The CEO further disclosed that the new office is equipped with modern facilities and digital systems designed to speed up processes such as vehicle registration, driver’s license issuance and renewal, roadworthiness certification, and other essential services.

He reiterated DVLA’s resolve to clamp down on middlemen, popularly known as “goro boys,” stressing that the expansion of offices is aimed at promoting direct engagement between the Authority and the public.

Residents and drivers in Kumasi have welcomed the move, describing it as timely and necessary, especially considering the growing population and increasing number of vehicles in the Ashanti Region.

The Bantama office is expected to significantly ease pressure on existing DVLA branches and improve compliance with road safety and licensing regulations.
