Jemimah Ofori: Don’t Be A Burden In Old Age, Join SSNIT

The Head of External Communications for the Social Security and National Insurance Trust, SSNIT, Mrs. Jemimah Ofori has urged Ghanaians to take their retirement planning seriously by joining the scheme.

Speaking in an interview, Mrs. Ofori explained the importance of contributing to SSNIT to secure one’s future after active service.

According to her, the scheme offers packages tailored for beneficiaries to ensure that individuals on retirement are protected and can live a dignified life.

Mrs. Jemimah Ofori said:
“SSNIT is designed to take care of you when you can no longer work. The packages we have are meant to guarantee income so our pensioners are not left struggling in old age.”

She urged the public to take retirement planning seriously in order to avoid becoming a burden on family members in old age or in the event of accidents.

Mrs. Ofori added that early registration and consistent contributions are key to enjoying maximum benefits from the Trust.

She encouraged workers in both the formal and informal sectors to sign up with SSNIT to safeguard their future.
