Ashanti regional Garages to starts local Manufacturing of vehicles bumpers, spare parts as the association secures over 2000 hectares land

The President of Ghana National Association of Garages Odeneho Nana Oppong has revealed that, the association has secured over 2000 hectares of land at in Ashanti region as new garages site for manufacturing of vehicle bumpers ,car lights and others to facilitate their operation

The association in support with the government will build assembly plants for vehicles manufacturing, producing of spare parts and amongst other to assist transport service in the country.

The National President Odeneho Nana Oppong said the garages association will start the building of the structures on their new site from January next year and it will employ more than 3000 artisans to enhance employment creation.

Odeneho Nana Oppong made this known when the Ashanti Regional chapter of National Garages association held an election to select new leaders to steer the herms of affairs of the association in the region .

The National President noted that, electricity and water will be supplied to the new site to help the artisans who will be using the site to improve their working conditions.

Added that, artisans who are dispersed from Suame magazine and do not have a permanent place to work are the first target to be moved to the site.

The newly elected Chairman Mr. Luqman Mohammed Nuhu Appiadu who went unopposed because of his humility and tremendous roles in the welfare of the association for his side also lauded all stakeholders who made the election success.

He entreated the government to assist the Kumasi garages with good roads to help them , hospital and fire tender to improve their living and working conditions in the area.
