GRA Educates Taxpayers, Offers Health Screening in Kumasi

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has taken a proactive approach to educate taxpayers and promote voluntary compliance, as part of its nationwide initiative. A medical team from Accra recently visited Kumasi, providing health screening services and educating traders at the Kumasi City Market Dubai on tax obligations.

The Area Director of GRA’s Ashanti region, Mrs. Agnes Adu Gyamfi Adjei, emphasized the importance of tax payment for national progress, stating that both private and public sector workers must contribute. She highlighted the Modified Taxation Scheme for the informal sector, which aims to simplify tax payment for small businesses and traders.
The GRA’s initiative includes free medication for common ailments and prescription services for other health issues. This program, which started in Accra, is being rolled out across the country.
