GNPC foundation support artisans 389 in skill training, provides them with equipment as a push for start

The Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) foundation has today supported about 389 people who went through their training and having passed examination with various equipments as a push to establish themselves their own businesses.
The graduation ceremony was held at the Kumasi Cultural Centre where beneficiaries were presented with their equipment.
Skills like dress making, tailoring, tiling, welding, steal benders among other skill training these people from the Ashanti Region had.
Some equipment distributed includes, sewing machine, local ovens, gas cylinder, stove, stand dryers, industrial machine, welding machines, cutting machines, polishing machines, aluminium cutting machines, spraying machines, hacksaw frame among many others.
In an interview with the Press, Chief Executive Director for GNPC Foundation Mr Dominic Eduah revealed that initially, they had selected about 500 people from the various districts in the Ashanti Region.
Mr Dominic Eduah also cautioned the beneficiaries to make use of the equipment given them and not to sell them.
