NSS Personnel to Receive Top-Up Skill Training for Enhanced Employability – NSS Boss
The Executive Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS), Hon. Osei Assibey Antwi,has announced plans to provide top-up skill training for National Service personnel.
The training is aimed to equip personnel with technological knowledge,industry-specific skills, enhancing their employability and competitiveness in the job market.
Addressing the media during the 2024/25 personnel orientation in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Assibey, indicated that the training will equip personnel with relevant skills to increase their chances of securing employment after service. He further stressed that the training will help identify and address skill gaps to ensure that personnel are industry-ready especially in the area of technology.
Moreover, the director revealed that the training will foster entrepreneurial spirit among personnel, enabling them to create jobs and contribute to the national development.
Mr. Antwi emphasized that personnel will be trained in areas such as technology, healthcare, environmental protection and agriculture, focus on communication teamwork and leadership.
“The National Service Scheme is committed to providing our personnel with the skills and training necessary to succeed in the job market. This top-up skill training program is a critical component of our strategy to enhance employability and promote national development”, the director stated.
He finally noted that the NSS authority wishes to ensure the stability of the policy to enhance the standard of living of current and future personnel in order to ensure the growth and development of the country.
