Afoko Celebrates Homowo with Bukom, Calls for NPP Unity

Aspirant for NPP National Chairman, Paul Afoko, on Saturday joined the chiefs and people of Bukom to celebrate the Homowo Festival, describing the occasion as a reminder of the power of unity, culture, and shared identity.

Speaking during the festivities, Mr. Afoko said occasions like Homowo go beyond celebration and offer important lessons for national and party politics.

“Homowo is a celebration of our rich Ga heritage, culture and traditions. Beyond the drumming, dancing and sharing of kpokpei, it reminds us of the strength of community, unity and our shared identity as a people,” he stated.

Linking the festival to his campaign, Mr. Afoko said the NPP must draw inspiration from such traditions as it works to Reunite, Rebuild and Recapture power in 2028.

“Just as Homowo brings families and communities together, the NPP must be guided by the same values respect, solidarity and a common purpose. That is how we will rebuild our bonds and strengthen our party,” he added.
