ASHANTI NPP NEEDS A BUILDER, NOT A MANAGER – AWUKU CAMPAIGN

The campaign team of Hon. Michael Amoah Awuku, candidate for Ashanti Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, says the region requires a “builder” and not a manager to lead the party into the 2028 elections.
In a statement issued in Kumasi, the team argued that the Ashanti Region, as the NPP’s traditional stronghold, must move beyond maintaining existing structures and focus on strengthening and organizing them for greater effectiveness.
“The Ashanti Region NPP does not need a manager. It needs a builder. Someone who will take what already exists and make it stronger, more organized, and more effective,” the statement said.
The campaign described Hon. Amoah Awuku as a candidate shaped by grassroots experience, tested in public administration, and driven by a deep commitment to the party.
According to the team, his years of working with polling station executives, constituency officers, and electoral area coordinators have given him first-hand knowledge of the challenges at the base of the party.
“He knows the challenges at the base because he has lived them. This is not about seeking a title. It’s about service and strengthening the NPP in Ashanti,” they added.
The statement outlined key priorities for a “working secretariat” under Hon. Awuku. These include strengthening party structures from polling station to regional level, digitizing party records, empowering polling station executives through welfare and training, and early planning toward the 2028 general elections.
“A strong secretariat means a strong region. A strong region means victory for the NPP,” the campaign stated.
Delegates have been urged to look for competence, experience, and delivery when they vote.
The builder is at Number 3.
