False Allegations Spark Outrage in Atwima Kwanwoma District Assembly

The Atwima Kwanwoma district Assembly (AKDA) has been rocked by a recent attack and ransacking of their premises, led by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) constituency Chairman, Mr. Simon Abugre Aloonga, and his thugs. The incident has sparked outrage, with the management and General Assembly of AKDA describing allegations circulating on social media as false and fabricated. These allegations claim that the district coordinating director, Mrs. Eunice Korankye, has stolen items meant for the assembly and kept them in her rented residence.

According to Honourable Anthony Kwame Nsiah, the Presiding member and Assembly member for Nweneso number three electoral area, the assembly has inadequate warehouse space, and items are often kept in other safe locations, including the director’s official residence, which has extra rooms that can be converted into store rooms. He emphasized that the entire assembly is aware of the items and their locations, and it’s illogical to allege that the director has stored them for personal gain.

The incident has been condemned by the assembly members, who are demanding an immediate apology from the NDC constituency Chairman, Mr. Simong Aloonga, and the entire NDC party.
