Members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Tamale South Constituency have announced a collective decision to elect Mr. Yakubu Abdallah, popularly known as Tortoise, as the new Constituency Treasurer.

The announcement was made through polling station executives, who have been urged to inform party members and friends about the decision aimed at safeguarding the party’s future in the constituency.

According to the group, the move is not merely a formality but a commitment to establishing a more robust and transparent financial framework within the constituency.

They noted that Mr. Abdallah brings with him a wealth of experience and innovative ideas that will enhance treasury operations and ensure efficient management of party resources.

The aspiring treasurer has also pledged to prioritize regular accountability to all polling station executives if given the mandate. The group believes this will strengthen trust, promote unity, and encourage shared responsibility in financial oversight.
