DCE Sadick Abubakar Breaks Ground for Ahafo Ano Education Project

Ahafo Ano South District Chief Executive, Hon. Sadick Abubakar, has officially broken ground for a new 2-story building featuring 6 classrooms and a community center, aimed at benefiting three communities in the district. The project, funded by the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFUND) and the MP’s common fund, is expected to significantly improve the educational infrastructure in the area.

The communities set to benefit from this initiative include Manhyia, Mpasaaso NO2, Oseikrom, and Mpasaaso No 1, with each community receiving a 2-story building containing 6 classroom blocks, except for Mpasaaso No 1, which will receive a community center. This project is part of a broader effort to address the educational needs of the district and enhance community development.

Hon. Abubakar emphasized that this initiative is in line with the vision of President John Dramani Mahama to develop communities lacking social amenities and improve the country’s educational infrastructure. The project is expected to ease the educational burdens faced by the communities and provide a better learning environment for students. The community center will also serve as a hub for community activities and events, promoting social cohesion and development.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by district assembly staff, community leaders, and other stakeholders, who expressed their gratitude for the initiative and looked forward to its completion. The project is expected to create jobs and stimulate economic growth in the area, contributing to the overall development of the district.
