NPP Aspirant Slams NDC Over Cocoa Price Hike

Kojo Bamba, an aspirant for NPP’s National First Vice Chairman, has criticized the NDC government over the recent cocoa price increase, describing it as a betrayal of promises made to cocoa farmers. Bamba noted that the NDC promised to increase the price to GH₵6,500 per bag while in opposition but has only implemented a 4.1% increase, bringing the price to GH₵3,227 per bag.

Bamba expressed deep disappointment, stating that the marginal increase is a cheat on hardworking cocoa farmers. He urged Ghanaians, media professionals, and NPP communicators to hold the government accountable for what he sees as a breach of trust.

The NPP aspirant wants the government to be held accountable for its promises, emphasizing the need for transparency and fairness in dealing with cocoa farmers.
