Kumasi-Accra Highway: Youth Group Threatens to Block Road Over Poor condition

The Coalition of Concerned Youth has issued a press release expressing condolences to families who have lost loved ones on the Kumasi-Accra highway, particularly following a recent tragic accident that resulted in significant loss of life. The group’s Executive Director, Richard Mensah, expressed deep concern over the road’s deplorable condition, citing statistics that show poor road conditions are a major contributor to accidents on this route.

The coalition is urging the government to take immediate action to contract the road’s maintenance to prevent further tragedies. They have given the government a two-month ultimatum to initiate work on the road. If no action is taken within this timeframe, the youth group threatens to block the road to express their frustration.

The coalition emphasizes that the road has claimed many lives, including breadwinners, and left many orphaned. They are calling on the government to act swiftly to avoid further escalation of the situation.
