Tension looms at Asante Akyem North as NDC Excutives Reject MCE Nominee

A controversy has erupted in the Asante Akyem North constituency over the nomination of Honorable Sarah Amoakoah as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE). Twenty-eight NDC party executives have expressed strong opposition to her nomination, citing that they do not know her within the party or the constituency.
The party executives, led by their constituency leadership, have stated that they cannot work with Honorable Sarah due to their lack of familiarity with her. They believe that effective leadership requires trust and understanding between the leaders and the people they serve.
The executives have called on the Regional Minister and the National Chairman of the NDC to intervene in the matter. They have expressed their concerns and requested that their voices be heard.
Dawuda Wellington, The Deputy youth Organizer of the NDC party indicated that if their demands are not met, they will boycott all party activities and the 2028 general elections in the Ashanti Akyem North Constituency, adding a layer of complexity to the already tense situation.
