Mrs. Patricia Kwarteng, a prominent advocate for sanitation education and CEO for Magtwins EAGLE Foundation has emphasized the importance of citizens having knowledge about proper sanitation practices to maintain a clean and healthy environment.

According to Mrs. Kwarteg, every individual plays a key role in maintaining good hygienic practices, and it’s essential for citizens to take action without waiting for government policies.

Mrs. Kwarteng also pointed to the government’s role in promoting sanitation education, suggesting that strict policies and measures similar to those in Western countries could be beneficial. She cited the example of recycling programs in other countries, where citizens are incentivized to collect and return used bottles, reducing litter and promoting a cleaner environment.

“We can’t afford to ignore the need for sanitation education”. “If we don’t take action, Ghana may become an uninhabitable place in the next five years or more.” She warned.

She called on various stakeholders especially KMA led by Hon Zuba, market women, religious leaders, chiefs, and other influential individuals, to join forces and educate people on the importance of sanitation. By working together, Mrs. Kwarteng believes that Ghana can become a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable place to live.
