Bawumia Vows to Boost Agriculture with Tomato Processing Factory in Akumadan

The jubilation of residents of Akumadan in Offinso North constituency of Ashanti region were dumbfounding when thee vice president and the presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party Dr Mahamadu Bawumia pledged tomatoes processing factory for the area.

Akumadan enclaves from time immemorial is noted for the cultivation of tomatoes, hence, the NPP presidential candidate thought it wise to establish the factory to avoid spoilage of the their harvest.

Dr Bawumia was addressing a massive crowd during his tour in the constituency. The establishment of the factory is part of his commitment to enhancing agriculture in the country.

The vice president Dr Mahamadu Bawumia further outlined some of his policies he will use to transform the nation should he wins the election.

Amongst others, were promises to introduce solar power to replace electricity to relief consumers from paying more light bills
