Ghanaians urged to support the vulnerable in the society

The TK Fun Club, a philanthropic organization, has donated food, drinks, and water to the Kumasi Prisons. The secretary of the club Mr James Takyi explained that the donation aimed to support the prisoners’ well-being and alleviate their suffering.

According to the secretary, the club recognized that some prisoners were incarcerated due to circumstances beyond their control, such as false accusations or impulsive decisions. The donation sought to show compassion and empathy towards these individuals.

The secretary urged individuals to come forward and support the prisoners, emphasizing that many inmates did not deserve to be there. He also cautioned the youth to lead virtuous lives, avoiding actions that could lead to imprisonment.

ASP Gyasi Aikins, the 2nd-in-charge of the prison’s medical store, expressed gratitude for the donation. He highlighted food as the major challenge facing the prison and appealed for continued support from individuals and organizations.
