NDC Chairman Assures Youth of Sustainable Jobs Under Mahama’s Second Term

Ashanti Regional NDC Chairman, Nana Akwasi, has promised the youth that the next NDC government will prioritize job creation, providing sustainable and well-paying opportunities to give them a dignified living.
_Job Creation a Top Priority_
Nana Akwasi emphasized that the current unemployment situation is frustrating, forcing many young individuals to seek low-paying informal work or opportunities abroad, leading to brain drain and perpetuating inequalities.
_NDC’s Digitalisation Agenda_
He highlighted that Mahama’s promises align with the NDC’s digitalisation agenda, which is crucial for implementing the 24-hour economy policy. The previous NDC government demonstrated a commitment to giving youth digital skills.
_24-Hour Economy Policy_
Nana Akwasi explained that this policy will enable one job to be shared across three shifts, employing three persons and providing opportunities for three workers instead of one. He believes this will be a game-changer for Ghana’s economy.
_Investment in Security and Public Safety_
To ensure the success of the 24-hour economy policy, the government will invest in security and public safety measures, including recruiting additional personnel and enhancing street lighting to promote nightlife economic activities.
_Extraordinary Times Require Extraordinary Interventions_
Nana Akwasi emphasized that Ghana is experiencing extraordinary hardships and requires extraordinary interventions for exceptional results. He believes the 24-hour economy initiative is the best pathway to generating decent and well-paying jobs for the youth.
