Obuasi Bitters CEO donates GH¢200,000 to support Asantehene’s ‘Heal KATH’ project

Chief Executive of ‘Aduro Ye Herbal Center’, producers of Obuasi Bitters and Obuasi Gringo bitters Dr. Collins Amo has donated a sum of GH200,000 towards the ‘ Heal KATH’ project, an initiative of the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

The project launched by the overlord of the Ashanti Kingdom Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II aims at renovating the tertiary referral facility, which has not seen any major refurbishment since it was built some seven decades ago.

Dr Collins Amo stated that, as a thriving business operating in the Ashanti Region, the company was motivated to heed the appeal by the Ashanti King.

He said his outfit deemed the call by Otumfuo to support the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital as a laudable one and a worthy cause hence the decision to also contribute the company’s quota to enhance the operations of the facility.

Dr Amo, speaking at the presentation ceremony, said he was motivated by the leadership role of the Asantehene in seeking support to bring the second largest health facility in the country to a standard that could help provide quality healthcare not only for the people of the Ashanti region, but Ghana as a whole.

“We deemed the call by Otumfuo to support the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital as a laudable one and a worthy cause. Hence, we decided to also donate and see a better KATH.”

He congratulated the Asantehene on his 25th anniversary of his installation as the 16th occupant of the Golden Stool and said Otumfuo had led a good example, and his reign had positively affected many people in Ghana and abroad.

Dr. Amoh also underscored the importance of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital as a strategic referral hospital.

He said it was important to improve the facilities at KATH to enable it to deliver the quality healthcare services that were expected of such a facility.

Otumfuo’s Hiahene, Nana Professor Oheneba Boachie-Adjei Woahene ll, received the check on behalf of the project and thanked Dr. Collins for the gesture.

He pledged Asantehene’s commitment to making the hospital a world-class one for holistic healthcare in the region.
