Continue to be humble and better explain your ideals, policies to Ghanaians – Otumfour to Bawumia
His Royal Majesty Asantehene Otumfour Osei Tutu II has acknowledged and commended the Vice President Dr Mahamadu of his humility and respectful in his endeavors.
Thus, Asantehene has charged the Vice President and the flagbearer of New Patriotic Party to continue be humble, and respect all Ghanaians irrespective of their status.
Otumfour Osei Tutu II was speaking to Dr Mahamadu Bawumia at Manhyia palace today when the vice president paid courtesy call on him as part of his 3 days tour in the Ashanti region.
Asantehene indicated that, government is continuous process, hence, he should see to it that, projects and works started by President Akufo Addo should not leave abandoned when he win the elections.
Otumfour Advised Dr Bawumia to devoid of insults in his electioneering campaign and focus of explaining his ideas to Ghanaians for better understanding so that they can have his confidence and vote for him.
Asantehene further advised the advisers of Dr Bawumia guide and correct him in activities in his quest to be the president.
Dr Bawumia speaking at Manhyia palace remarked his intention to bring new framework and review minerals laws to give interest to chiefs in the fight against illegal mining.
He noted that, the absence of chiefs in active government’s administration is breeding indiscipline, hence, he reiterated to review chieftaincy act to give powers to the chiefs to involve themselves in government.
