Vice chancellor of Kumasi Technical University entreats freshers to abstain from alcoholism, indecent dressing

The vice chancellor of Kumasi Technical University has implored freshers of the school to adhere strictly to the university rules and regulations.
He stated that, refusing to obey the university regulations attract dire consequences which can endanger their academic career.

Prof Gabriel Dwomoh made this advise during the university matriculation. He asked the students to read and obey all the rules and regulations contained in the school handbook to guide their stay and self conduct till they complete the school.

The school matriculated 8,125 freshers into the university to read various programme the school offered.
The vice chancellor took the opportunity and advised them from peer pressure which can lead them to social vices such as alcoholism, indecent dressing and unbridled sexual lives.

He said, the university frowns on such behaviors and will not hesitate to apply the necessary sanctions on any student who is found to indulge in them.

He further advised them to stay away from examination malpractice but pay attention to their lecturers and also cultivate the habit of reading and sharing ideas with study groups.
