Kumawu MP supports schools in his area with dual desks and books

Member of Parliament (MP) Sekyere Kumawu Constituency of the Ashanti Region Hon Ernest Yaw Anim has presented some teaching and learning materials to basic schools in the area.
The Member of Parliament supported the Education Directorate 2,000 books to be distributed to 42 basic schools in the area.
Besides the books, Hon Ernest Anim presented dual desks to eight primary schools. The beneficiaries who received 30 dual desks each were Besoro Methodist Primary School, Besoro R/C School, and Woraso Primary.
The rest are Dadease D/A, Bodomase D/A primary, Nkwanta Zion primary sch, and Sekyere Methodist.
Again, 35 brilliant but needy students from various communities were awarded GHS 50,000 as a scholarship.
According to the MP, the move has been taken to ameliorate the sufferings of teachers and students as a result of the acute shortage of teaching and learning materials.
Speaking to the media, he indicated that, the government has created a lot of opportunities in the education sector such as free feeding, free uniforms, and the like hence, implored parents to support the government in enhancing quality education in the country.
He urged parents to provide proper supervision for their wards when they are at home to see to it that, their academic performance will be improved.
Touching on Health issues, Hon Ernest Anim was excited about the completion of Kumawu District Hospital which according to him, will be commissioned early next year.
The MP stated that, Kumawu Roads is his top priority and he is still working hard to ensure that the contractor will complete the asphalt soon.
Hon Ernest Yaw Anim as part of his donation commissioned his personal office to facilitate his activities in the area.
