Dr Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo facilitates release of inmates in Kumasi central prisons

The founder of Kristo Asafo Missions Dr. Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo Kantanka has paid court fines for five inmates in Kumasi Central prisons.

Concurrently, Dr Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo also paid and released ten inmates in Nsawam prisons making it 15 this year.

The inmates were sentenced to fines ranging from various sums of money or default and served jail terms from five to 15 months.

The gesture forms part of his assistance to the vulnerable in the Society as he celebrates his birthday.

At Kumasi Central Prisons he also presented food items and other materials to the inmates.

The items include 3 boxes of Sugar, 20 bags of rice, 400 sachets of mineral water,  400 buckets and more.

Hon Sara Adwoa Safo, Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya constituency and daughter to Dr Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo made the presentation on behalf of his father.

Hon Adwoa Sarfo after explaining the objective of the move, expressed worry about inadequate feeding grants for the inmates and called on citizens to assist the inmates whenever necessary.

She further indicated government’s commitment to making feeding grants satisfactory.

Superintendent, Allex Agyei, acting officer in Charge of Kumasi prisons for his side thanked Dr Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo for his assistance and made an appeal to the government on the challenges they are facing in Kumasi Prisons.

Some of the inmates who have been released also shared their experiences at the prison and advised their fellow youth to desist from immoral acts that can lead them to prison.
