Asawase NPP Parliamentary race: Manaf Ibrahim files nomination form, preaches unity in the constituency

Manaf Ibrahim, one of the favorite aspirants for the NPP’s parliamentary nomination in the Asawase constituency has filled his nomination to contest the parliamentary seat in the area with confidence victory will be his after the party’s internal election.

Manaf Ibrahim submitted his nomination forms on Thursday with a massive crowd who besieged the party office with chants to show their unflinching support for the aspirant.

Addressing the massive crowd he lamented the schemes some party members had employed in his previous two attempts to prevent him from having the chance to speak for the party.

“I can confidently say this is my time because everything is working for me and I know I will win the upcoming parliamentary contest to lead the NPP to win the Asawase seat in 2024”, Manaf stated.

He further implored his campaign team and supporters to be understanding of those who might not agree with his decision.

He urged people to support him by telling others why, rather than by using derogatory or hateful language.

“These internal elections in the NPP are like a household contest and if we see it as such there would be no place to entertain antagonism and division”, the aspirant educated.

He urged the elections committee to work to ensure a clean election so that the NPP would have grounds to tout its democratic credentials.
Earlier before addressing the media and the party members, Manaf Ibrahim entered the constituency office like an Arabian youth.

Manaf Ibrahim was accompanied by a group that included a vice president’s adviser and three Northern Regions-based members of parliament during the submission of the forms.
