A Kumasi based clergy is peeved against former President John Dramani Mahama following his long silence on the abuse of social media among Ghanaian youth.

Of late young Ghanaians have taken solace in disrespecting the elderly by way of insulting them on social media.

Citing Twene Jonas; a Ghanaian social media content creater based in the U.S as a key figure among such perpetrators, Rev J.K Appiah-Founder and General Overseer of Faith Outreach Ministry has said that the former’s modus-operandi which is characterised by the usage of disrespectful words against prominent traditional leaders, President Akuffo ADDO, Vice President Dr. Bawumia among other government officials clearly favors the former President John Mahama.

Though sporadic castigation of the delivery of incumbent political leader and for that matter the NPP earns him (John Mahama) an electoral advantage, he admonished that the former President must call Twene Jonas to order regarding his style of critique.

” The inactions of Twene Jonas is earning Mahama much electoral fortunes, however get this straight; no Ghanaian will vote for Mahama or the NDC if he or she notices that his Chief or traditional leader has been insulted by Twene Jonas”

“You are a Christian, a member of the Assemblies of God Church and you are much privy to how the Bible admonishes us on the need to honour the elderly”, he told Ex-President John Mahama in an exclusive interview with this medium.

“Call him to order now or forget about winning 2024 presidential election, you should emerge the 2024 flagbearer of NDC”, he added.
