Tamale South NPP: Youth Group President Urges Opponents to Step Aside for Chief Dabokpaa
Abdulai Abdul Jalil Opele, President of the Northern NPP Concerned Youth Group, says Mr. Fuseini Ziblila, popularly known as Chief Dabokpaa Naa, has made significant strides in the Tamale South Constituency and appears to have already secured the New Patriotic Party chairmanship position there.
In a statement, Opele argued that accepting defeat early in internal party elections is not a sign of weakness, but a display of political astuteness. He said if he were contesting against Chief Dabokpaa, he would withdraw to preserve dignity, resources, and peace of mind.
“It is evident that the people are inclined to choose him as our next New Patriotic Party chairman in the Tamale South Constituency,” Opele stated.
He advised his colleagues in politics to conserve energy and resources for future endeavors, and to thoroughly assess the situation before declaring intention to contest for any position.
