Kumawu MP, Ernest Yaw Anim, Pledges to Enhance Education in Constituency

Mr. Ernest Yaw Anim, the Member of Parliament for Kumawu, has reaffirmed his commitment to improving the quality of education in his constituency. He announced his plans to collaborate with key stakeholders to design and implement measures that will enhance teaching and learning, while also improving the welfare of teachers and educational workers. This move is part of his effort to leave a lasting legacy of producing many professionals, including engineers, lawyers, and doctors, in every home in the constituency.
At a ceremony organized to reward hardworking teachers and non-teaching staff, Mr. Anim awarded ten outstanding teachers with motorbikes, refrigerators, television sets, and cash prizes, among other things. Sixty others were recognized with certificates for their dedication and sacrifices, especially in remote communities. He emphasized that education is his top priority and has initiated several strategies to address logistical challenges and improve the teaching and learning environment.
Some of these initiatives include providing reading materials, computers, and other essential teaching and learning materials to schools. He has also introduced a mentorship program for senior high students to aid in their career choices and plans to introduce a similar program at the JHS level. Additionally, he aims to provide every junior high school with laptops to improve the teaching of ICT.
The District Director of Education, Mr. Kwame Oduro Owusu, commended Mr. Anim for his continued support, demonstrating his commitment to ensuring that many people are enlightened and can contribute to the area’s development
