I Will Set up a Minerals Development Bank to Assist Miners – Dr Bawumia Assures

The Vice President of Ghana and the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, has outlined new policies that will improve our mining sector without destroying our farmlands and water bodies.

According to him, he has outlined some initiatives and strategies that will improve the mining sector when given the mandate to govern the country come the December 7th general elections.

Adding that community miners will be given the tools and machines that will support and make their work efficient.

Dr Bawumia continues that his government will provide gold catch machines to miners, which will help them locate the exact place where they can mine without destroying our farmlands. Stressing that such machines will end the mining of our water bodies and ensure their activities are properly regulated.

The flagbearer of the NPP emphasised that his government would set up a mineral development bank for miners to assist these miners financially in the purchase of some mining equipment for their work.

The Vice President of Ghana and the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party made this statement during a engagement with chiefs and other stakeholders mini rally at Tepa in the Ahafo Ano North constituency of the Ashanti Region as he ends his 15-day tour in the region.

He further promised to fix all their deplorable roads and help them with other developmental projects in the area should he win the election.
