Amansie West launches District Road Improvement Programme

The Amansie West District on Monday, September 9, launched the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) at Manso Nkwanta, the district capital.

At the forecourt of the District assembly, a Grader machine, Roller compactor, Wheel loader, Tipper truck, Water Bowser, and other essential equipments were commissioned to facilitate improvement of roads in the Amansei West district.

The event, was participated by Nananom, The District Chief Executive, Head of Departments of the various assembly units, Assembly members, Opinion leaders, as well as officials and supporters of the NPP.

The Parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party(NPP) for the Amansei West contitiency, Dr. Tweneboa Kodua Fokuo, lauded the Nana Addo- Bawumia government for the massive ongoing road infrastructural projects across the Amansei West district.

He therefore, charged the good people of Amansei West to repay the NPP government with an unprecedented vote margin in favor of NPP.

In his address, the District Chief Executive(DCE) for Amansei West district, Hon. Oscar Asare Andor, also expressed the assembly’s readiness to utilising the machines to the benefit of Amansei West constituents.

For his side the Kontihene of the Manso Nkwanta traditional council, who doubles as the chief of Manso Abranse, Nana Darko Gyau, a representative of Nana Bi Kusi Appiah, Manso Nkwanta Manhene at the program, thanked the president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, for implementing the District Road Improvement Programme(DRIP) to the benefit of all Ghanaians especially the Amansei West district.

He also advised the district authorities headed by the DCE to keep proper maintenance of the machines and to also render regular accounts of the machines to the assembly members and subsequently to the masses.
