Queens Specialist Hospital embarks on Free NHIS Registration

The principal administrator officer of the National Health Insurance Scheme in Asokwa, Betty Acheampong has partnered with Queens Specialist Hospital to organise two-day free NHIS card registration.
The program which was held at the hospital’s premises on the 26th and 27th of September aimed at improving health care in the vicinity.
In an interview with Betty Acheampong, she implored Atonsu Kuwait residents to capitalize on this opportunity to register their cards.
She also admonished Ghanaians to register their cards to avoid the cost of accessing health care.
The clinical care coordinator Dr M.P Kyei further mentioned that, the motive behind this initiative is to have a share of the social responsibility in the community.
“We feel this is part of our social responsibility in the neighborhood. We have also gone to various churches to sensitize people on health.
This initiative will bridge the gap between the rich and the poor” she said.
In an interview with some beneficiaries, they commended the hospital for bringing out this initiative which seeks to ameliorate health care in the vicinity.
They finally urged the government to support this initiative in various centers across the country.
