STATEMENT FROM THE NORTHERN NPP CONCERNED YOUTH GROUP PRESIDENT. ON THE NORTHERN REGIONAL YOUTH ORGANIZER ELECTIONS

My esteemed boss, Alhaji Mohammed Abubakari Naporo (DJ Parara), you have demonstrated to the entire New Patriotic Party family that the party resides in your heart.

You have shown that your candidacy was to serve the party, even though the delegates have chosen their preferred candidate. Alhaji Parara, you are indeed a leader.

We fought a valiant battle from the start of our campaign to its conclusion. In internal elections, it is common to view opponents as adversaries, but in our case, they were friends, just as we were to them. Those who secretly undermined our campaign while feigning support have achieved their aim, and we await what the future holds.

Alhaji Mohammed Abubakari Naporo, DJ Parara, your intelligence and connections have caused concern among some leaders who opposed you. Yet these qualities remain with you, untouchable. We trust you will continue to use them to shape our future and to uplift the youth in the Northern Region. The youth are proud of you and stand ready to support you, for you employ your intelligence and connections not for selfish gain, but to empower the youth.

Nevertheless, we extend our sincere congratulations to our brother, Mr. Azey Man, who has been elected as the Northern Regional Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party. We recognize him as both a brother and a friend to you, and the party remains one NPP. We are prepared to strive together for the party’s return to power. God knows best.

Let us build the party. Let us strengthen the New Patriotic Party with unity and solidarity.

Signed:
Abdulai Abdul Jalil Opele
President, Northern NPP Concerned Youth Group
