Tamale South NPP Executives Urged to Vote for Yakubu Abdallah “Tortoise” as Constituency Treasurer

Members of the New Patriotic Party in the Tamale South Constituency have been called upon to elect new leadership ahead of the 2028 elections, with a strong push for Mr. Yakubu Abdallah, popularly known as Tortoise, to become the next Constituency Treasurer.

According to Abdulai Abdul Jalil Opele, President of the Northern NPP Concerned Youth Group, the party in Tamale South needs financial leadership that reflects accountability, vision, and the energy of the youth.

“Mr. Abdallah has demonstrated unwavering dedication and commitment to the values of the NPP. His service to the party and community is visible to all. He possesses the integrity and financial acumen required to manage our resources effectively and transparently,” he stated.

Opele noted that the political landscape has shifted and the electorate is now more informed and demanding. He argued that entering the 2028 elections with the same approach would be a misstep for the constituency.

“We need a treasurer who understands these times, connects with the youth, and can plan strategically to position Tamale South for victory. Mr. Yakubu Abdallah ‘Tortoise’ is that leader,” he added.

He further highlighted Mr. Abdallah’s track record of community engagement and his ability to promote inclusivity within the party as key qualities that make him the most suitable candidate for the role.

The group is therefore urging all polling station executives and delegates in Tamale South to rally behind Mr. Yakubu Abdallah “Tortoise” to lead the constituency’s financial affairs and help build a stronger, more accountable NPP.
