Historic Choice”: NPP Concerned Youth Back Yellow Kassim for Tamale South Nasara Organizer

The Northern NPP Concerned Youth Group is backing Yellow Kassim for Nasara Organizer in the Tamale South Constituency, describing his potential election as “the optimal solution” to mobilize the Nasara wing and Zongo communities for the New Patriotic Party.

In a statement signed by the group’s President, Abdulai Abdul Jalil Opele, the group said Kassim’s election would be more than a constituency milestone. It would be “a historic achievement” for the NPP in the region.

According to the group, Kassim has built a reputation as a passionate advocate for NPP ideals, with years of dedication and visible contributions that have earned him respect among party members and constituents.

The statement noted that Kassim was widely seen as a strong contender for the regional Nasara Organizer slot, based on his experience and initiatives. However, it said he opted to concentrate his efforts on Tamale South to serve the people directly.

“That decision highlights his leadership qualities and his belief in grassroots engagement and local representation within the party,” the statement read.

The group argued that electing Kassim would mark a new chapter for the NPP in Tamale South — one defined by visionary leadership and a renewed focus on the welfare of constituents, especially within the Nasara and Zongo blocs.
